Bright Spots, Volume II

Oct 29, 2011
Developed by the National Working Group on Foster Youth Education, these publications provide real examples of how staff from across the education, child welfare and the justice systems are making a difference for students in foster care.

This volume of Bright Spots highlights practices from Vermont, Florida and Arizona. The practices help to increase social worker understanding of educational needs, ensure students don’t miss critical testing dates due to court hearings, and promotes school-based foster family recruitment.
