The Premise and Promise of the California Connected by 25 Initiative

The California Connected by 25 Initiative was a six-year $6 million dollar investment to transform county child welfare practices in order to improve outcomes in key areas of the lives of foster youth ages 14 through 24. This report provides an overview of the outcomes of this work, including the “five big results,” lessons learned for private and public investment and why this work matters in the face of California’s “realignment” budget plan and implementation of the Fostering Connections to Success Act (AB12).
